This blog was born because I thought that this ‘moving to England away from friends and family to ride horses and pursue a dream’ business is a pretty big deal and not many 16 year olds around the would get this opportunity. How about I blog it? It’s much cooler than an old fashioned diary, and I have to admit that I like the idea of someone reading about my life. After all, I am a teenager, so you can’t blame me for the vanity!

I also LOVE to talk and I get quite down and sorry for myself if I am forced to keep things inside for too long. I’m sure my mum gets sick of my analysis’ and inquiries about anything and everything I can find that interests me. So this blog will provide mum with relief as I can let out all my thoughts onto the keypad. I guess if she really misses my talking, she can always log on and read my babble.

So I hope you enjoy my musings and that you also learn a lot about dressage and riding, and I am confident you will. I actually have a big binder folder absolutely full of notes, articles, biographies etc about dressage. I call it my Bible. This blog will end up being like a Cyber Dressage Bible with training tips from a large variety of trainers that I come across (in the past that has included Debbie McDonald, Christoph Hess, Ingrid Klimke, Susanne Meisner, Hartmut Schmidt, Pammy Hutton and Alex Wortmann) and updates on my own training, competitions and of course general life outside of horses. PLUS you can rely on me because I have credentials . I have my German FN Little Bronze Medallion (see my previous blog caseystrainingtrip.blogspot.com from 2008) and my British Horse Society Stage One which I acquired this year. Those two exams and the training leading up to it have been highlights of my riding career and I am looking forward to extending my qualifications once I get my butt over to Europe!
